Why Expotech?
The Palestinian Information Technology Association of Companies (PITA) is happy to invite you to participate in the Expotech Technology Week that will take place in West Bank and Gaza Strip from November 27th to December 2nd, 2011.
The Expotech Technology Week is the only annual forum to discuss the latest technologies with ICT experts in Palestine and a focal point to establish new relations with the private and public sector including senior government officials and main Palestinian companies.
This year, the Expotech Technology week will include a technology business conference with the participation of major governmental, academic, regional and international participation. Multinational companies will also participate in order to promote their latest technologies and solutions such as Microsoft, CISCO and others. In addition, the Expotech Technology Week will feature Palestinian innovation and entrepreneurship activities in Palestine.
You will be able to:
- Create world-wide awareness of the capabilities, opportunities and challenges facing the ICT sector in Palestine in both the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
- Provide financial expertise/advice to exploit the investment mechanisms available and identify and minimize the investment limitations.
- Emphasize the ICT Sector relationship with Government:
* Promoting the importance of creating the correct regulatory framework to enable the growth of the ICT Sector as a critical pillar in the economy.
* Promoting the effective use of ICT within government agencies to enhance effectiveness of work.
- To discuss IT Education in universities:
* Delivering high quality graduates and enhancing entrepreneurship skills.
* The importance of the effective use of ICT within Educational entities.
- Promote and highlight Palestinian Innovations & IT solutions.
- Reconnect the Gaza ICT sector with the world and highlight investment opportunities.
- Provide a space and platform for Business to Business meetings.
- Support knowledge transfer by conducting multinational days in different locations in the West Bank and Gaza.
