What Is Expotech

EXPOTECH is a major week-long event, which is held annually to showcase the success stories and to expose the ICT sector in Palestine. EXPOTECH has been successfully organized by the Palestinian IT Association of companies "PITA" and the Palestine ICT Incubator "PICTI" for the past consecutive seven years!

EXPOTECH in a number of different forms over the years has provided a vehicle for discussing state of the art technological trends and exchanging ideas. Through its business2business meetings, it has provided development and commercial opportunities for the creation of new business ventures. It has, through its multinational days, created a channel for knowledge transfer, with internationally renowned companies such as Microsoft, Cisco, Intel, etc. leading seminars and workshops across the different Palestinian cities.

Moreover, through EXPOTECH activities, PITA has managed to create awareness of the critical role the ICT sector plays in contributing to job creation and the Palestinian economy as a whole. In parallel, these activities have promoted the partnership and the dialogue with the public sector identifying their shared responsibility to take ICT in Palestine to the highest level, enabling it to be stronger and more competitive internationally.

Building on this knowledge and experience, EXPOTECH 2011 will continue to highlight investment opportunities and address the continuing importance of building awareness and potential. In particular it will look to promote and support the opening of new markets and outsourcing opportunities in different locations through creating strong networks and engagement of the Palestinian Diaspora. It will discuss the importance of building a strong ecosystem that supports advanced IT education, innovation and entrepreneurship.
